Winter Lawn Care Tips

Don’t ignore your lawn just because it’s cold outside. The best season to prune trees is winter because pruning promotes new growths and production of fruit.

Here are some tips for your lawn in December and January:

• Remove any debris from the lawn such as sticks and leaves that may accumulate at this time.
• Continue to mow your lawn as long as the grass is actively growing.
• Water Centipede and St. Augustine grass lawns as needed, but do not over-water as this will encourage disease.
• Control weeds when necessary with a product that is recommended for your grass type.
